Checklist

Consider this before entering any studio.

Ready?

We put this page together as a check-list and crash-course for beginners, who often auto-impose the art of sciolism. Don’t feel railroaded as reality checks drop.

So if you are a newbie to the process, this is a MUST-READ. If you’ve already done 300 albums, READ IT AGAIN ;) Any project worth doing draws resources and time. Efficiency is of the essence for the utmost pleasant experience, whilst accomplishing dreams into reality.

In plain English :: “He who runs in circles bleeds his wallet.”

Get your act together, knowing what to record/produce; how to do it; and keeping a tight schedule. We are all striving for Artistic bliss, with room for spontaneity and magic, yet Serendipity manifests herself best when::

  • Parts rehearsed, everyone is pro.
  • Personal equipment and instruments in good disposition
  • All tempos & Grooves settled
  • Music charted (no full score necessary, a simple solid road-map helps tremendously)
  • Lyrics polished, printed, and formated.
  • List of session musicians established, as per availability & budget
  •  Labeled and approved objectives

Secure blueprints for all upcoming sessions.

A proper pre-Prod can help you save quite a bundle…
